Radioactive orange, twisted like a maze and in the shape of a spiral, in Pakistan there is a candy called ‘jalebi’. As a child, Mani and Majid Alam’s mother Kishwar was crazy about ‘jalebis’ and would eat them whenever she could, hence everyone started calling her ‘baby jalebi’. His children, after the success of the four Fish and Chips scattered around Barcelona, wanted to pay tribute to him and have launched the Baby Jalebi in Gran Via, next to his first local, in Rocafort street, to close the circle.
The Baby Jalebi has all the qualities of its predecessors and the great attraction of bringing us closer in a homemade and authentic way, lived, in the street kitchen of Pakistan
